There’s a reason
your hands, wrists and shoulders hurt.

If a full day of typing leaves you aching, your keyboard is part of the problem.

That sore wrist or elbow, the tight shoulders, the tingling fingers — it starts subtly, then builds. Left unchecked, repetitive strain can turn into chronic pain that disrupts your focus, your work, and your life outside of it.

Repetitive strain is one of the most common — and most overlooked — injuries of desk work. Look closely at the tools most of us type on all day, and it’s not hard to see why.

Traditional keyboards force you into unnatural, prescribed positions
  • Typing at cramped, unnatural angles
  • Hunching your shoulders inward
  • Locking your wrists in place

That’s where NUIO is different

NUIO is designed to fit you — with the freedom to move, adjust, and find what’s most comfortable.

NUIO Flow Keyboard
It’s not one-size-fits-all — because humans aren’t built that way

RSI doesn’t happen overnight, and neither does the solution. But small, intentional changes — like adjusting the angle of your keyboard or giving your wrists more room — make a real difference over time.

Each of those three positions has a fix. Here's how our Flow Keyboard handles them, one by one.

Small, intentional changes — thousands of keystrokes a day.

RSI doesn't happen overnight, and neither does the solution. Three changes to how you type, working for you every hour.

NUIO Flow keyboard with neutral wrist alignment
01 — Neutral Wrists

Instead of forcing your hands into one prescribed angle, Flow's split halves separate and rotate to match your natural reach — so each wrist sits straight, with no pinching in the wrist joint. The cramped angle disappears because the keyboard moves, not you.

NUIO Flow Keyboard opens shoulders
02 — Open Shoulders

A standard keyboard pulls your hands together and your shoulders forward. Flow's halves separate to shoulder width, so your chest opens, your shoulders drop, and the tension that climbs into your neck by mid-afternoon never gets started.

NUIO Flow Keyboard optimized key positions
03 — Optimized Keys

The Flow Keyboard's radial key layout puts every key where your fingertips naturally fall — less reaching, less stretching, less locking your wrists to hit distant keys. Add tenting and wrist support when you want them: it's your setup, adjusted to your body.

Designed by the former Head of Input at Apple.

Tom Wilson started his career at Frog Design, then spent 12 years at Apple — three of them as Head of Input Hardware, responsible for the keyboards, trackpads, and mice used by hundreds of millions of people. From there he went on to Google, continuing a career spent designing the input tools people use every day.

Across all of it, he kept running into the same problem: the flat, rigid keyboard hasn't fundamentally changed since the typewriter, and our bodies are paying for it.

The Flow Keyboard is his answer — a keyboard designed around the human hand, not the other way around.

Questions we hear about wrist pain...
How do I know my keyboard is what's causing my wrist pain?

You often can't be certain — wrist pain can come from your mouse, desk height, posture, or things that have nothing to do with your desk. But here's the practical test: your keyboard is where your hands spend the most hours in the most fixed position. If typing is part of your day and your wrists ache, the keyboard is the first variable worth changing — and with 30 days to try Flow, changing it is a test you can actually run.

Will a split keyboard fix my wrist pain?

We won't promise that — pain varies too much from person to person to make guarantees. What Flow is designed to do is remove the strain patterns a flat keyboard forces: bent wrists, hunched shoulders, overreaching fingers. Many people feel the difference quickly. Your own wrists, after a month of real work, are the only answer that matters. Feeling is believing.

How long does it take to adjust to a split keyboard?

Most people are comfortable within a few days and back to full typing speed within one to two weeks. Many feel the difference — wrists relaxing, shoulders dropping — in the first day. Our 30-day window gives you time to get through the adjustment and judge it on comfort, not novelty. See how setup works in our five-step guide.

Does it work with my Mac (or PC)?

Yes — Flow works with both macOS and Windows, connects over Bluetooth, and pairs with up to three devices. No special software required to get started.

What if it doesn't work for me?

Return it within 30 days. Keep the original packaging; returns carry a 10% restocking fee ($39.90) — that's the full extent of your risk. If your wrists feel better, you'll know. If they don't, send it back.

Thirty days of real work will tell you more than any review.

Type through your busiest weeks with our keyboard. If your wrists, shoulders, and focus aren't better off at the end of a month, return it.
